Roger Steer's Digital Setting Circles Page (Sky Wizard)

On my Celestron Powerstar, I fitted an Orion Sky Wizard III which I bought from SCS Astro. I sold the setup to a society member, but I was so pleased with the Sky Wizard that, after trying to use a Magellan II on my 254mm Meade Newtonian for over a year, I gave up and fitted a Sky Wizard to that too.  After a while I found the Meade was really too big for the observatory, so I sold it and bought a Celestron Celestar C8, and fitted the SkyWizard III to it.  I have now got a Celestron 11GPS,  but the SkyWizard III is still in use - on a Great Polaris mount with my TeleVue 76 APO.

If you, like me, discover that your Star list is incorrect for the Sky Wizard (or Advanced Astro Master (They were both made by Tangent)), or you would like the ST and NS lists in machine readable form then download this file. My ROMs were both version 3.51.  I can't GUARANTEE that your unit will have the same ROM - so check!

I believe that the JMI NGC-Max is similar, but has a different ROM - I should be glad to know the answer to this.  If you have a similar list for the NGC-Max, let me know, and I will post a link for it here

The files, which were updated and reformatted in 2002, are supplied as a Excel spreadsheet, and as a tab-delimited text file both in one zip file.  Copy it into a new directory and double-click on it to unzip. Read the readme.txt file for more details.
